They are recommended by the best Natural Horsemanship trainers in the Nation over nylon web halters or leather halters as an effective training tool as they have no metal to break, are fully adjustable and horses are more responsive to them. | We use solid diamond braided cotton/nylon rope on our white rope halters. The Horse and Yearling sizes are available in both the 5/16" or 3/8". Foal halters are available in 3/8" ONLY. |
| We use a 3/8" diamond braided poly blend on our colored rope halters. All colors listed are available in Horse size, but may not be available in Yearling or Foal sizes as it depends greatly on our rope color lots*. If you wish a particular color listed in the Yearling or Foal sizes, please email us FIRST to find out if they are available before placing your order. |

| IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING ROPE HALTERS: When working with horses, whether or not you are breaking an unbroke horse, one that displays behavior problems, a young and inexperienced horse or even a well broke horse, it is of utmost importance to use the right equipment. Proper equipment provides a safe working relationship for both horse and handler. Halters are not merely a means of attaching a rope to your horse but a means of communicating with your horse, and like any device we use on a horse it must do the following things: 1) Convey a message 2) To Have that message be clear and concise 3) Be safe for both horse and handler 4) Be both durable and reliable Rope halters are a humane way of getting your "message" across to your horse. They are soft, lightweight, pliable and conform to your horse in an effective way that does not hurt the horse and is designed to make contact across the nose and poll creating an effective message to yield to pressure. Web or leather (flat/wide halters) are difficult to train with because they tend to allow your horse to lean into them, making it more difficult to teach them to give to pressure. The rope is thin enough to make it uncomfortable for the horse to resist pressure, yet provides immediate comfort as soon as your horse gives to pressure. Rope halters are fully adjustable by loosening and re-tightening the knots and are made from one continuous length of rope so there is no hardware to break and reduces the risk of injury to the horse or handler. They are easy to use, easy to clean and last a very long time. WARNINGS: ALWAYS make your requests through the rope halters gentle, as horses are much more sensitive to rope halters than they are to wider web or leather halters. NEVER tie a horse in a trailer with a rope halter. Trailered horses should always wear breakable halters. NEVER cross-tie with a rope halter as these halters are not designed for cross-tying. NEVER leave a horse unattended while wearing a rope halter as rope halters are not made to be breakable and can cause injury to the horse if caught on a fence or other object. CAUTIONS: There is always risk involved in horse training for both you and the horse. HORSES CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY. Please be sensible while training your horses and don't ever attempt anything that is outside your own comfort level or your horse's abilities. If you are not comfortable with yours or your horse's abilities, DON'T DO IT!! Seek the advice or assistance from a professional horse trainer.
